Narrative Layer Explained
The Narrative Layer turns Sports Regime Lab™ signals into readable NBA stories. It is designed to explain what changed, who moved, what compressed, and which player or team state deserves attention after new data arrives.
What the Narrative Layer does
The Narrative Layer converts deterministic analytics into human-readable sports context. It can describe board movement, KezeScore™ changes, KezeShare™ / KS% roster-share pressure, gap compression, team movement, and player acceleration.
Its purpose is to help users understand the meaning of the data without needing to manually inspect every board, chart, and comparison view.
Why it is not generic AI narration
The Narrative Layer is not intended to invent commentary from scratch. It is built around structured rules, source signals, movement thresholds, board changes, and deterministic templates.
The story should come from the math. The language exists to make the signal easier to read.
What kinds of stories it can surface
Examples include a player rising after a strong game, a team losing ground despite public confidence, a contender compressing toward another contender, a high-KS% star carrying too much roster burden, or a young player becoming a larger part of the franchise structure.
Over time, this layer can support fresh daily stories, board movers, repeated/stale story detection, comparison narratives, and matchup-context stories.
